PARIS Volvo Cars memasuki babak baru dalam perjalanan keberlanjutannya dengan peluncuran resmi Volvo ES90, model andalan terbaru Volvo yang sepenuhnya bertenaga listrik.

Dijadwalkan mulai diproduksi tahun ini, ES90 tidak hanya menunjukkan komitmen Volvo terhadap elektrifikasi, tetapi juga tekad perusahaan Swedia ini untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan dalam setiap aspek konstruksi dan penggunaan kendaraannya.

Menurut laporan Penilaian Siklus Hidup (LCA) terbaru Volvo yang telah diverifikasi oleh pihak ketiga, jejak karbon ES90 hanya 31 ton CO₂ ketika diisi dayanya menggunakan campuran energi standar Eropa.

Angka ini dapat dikurangi lebih lanjut menjadi 26 ton jika listrik yang digunakan sepenuhnya berasal dari sumber energi angin.
