Pelatih Malut United, Imran Nahumarury, menyimpan harapan besar agar dua pemain andalannya, Yakob Sayuri dan Yance Sayuri, terhindar dari cedera saat bergabung dengan pemusatan latihan (TC) Timnas Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, Imran menegaskan dukungannya penuh agar kedua pemain kembar tersebut dapat memberikan kontribusi maksimal bagi Skuad Garuda.

Yakob dan Yance termasuk dalam daftar 32 pemain yang dipanggil untuk memperkuat Timnas Indonesia dalam persiapan menghadapi fase Grup C putaran ketiga Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 zona Asia. Rencananya, TC akan digelar di Bali mulai 26 Mei 2025.

Imran mengungkapkan bahwa kondisi fisik kedua pemain sayap andalannya saat ini cukup prima bersama Malut United. Absennya cedera menjadi modal berharga bagi Yance dan Yakob untuk menampilkan performa terbaik mereka di lapangan.

“Saya pikir, kami bisa lihat di beberapa pertandingan terakhir, di 10 match terakhir tidak ada yang cedera,” ujar Imran di Jakarta, Jumat (23/5/2025), menunjukkan kebanggaannya terhadap kondisi fisik pemainnya.
