Timnas Putri Indonesia harus menelan pil pahit. Dalam laga krusial Kualifikasi Piala Asia Wanita 2026 Grup D, skuad Garuda Pertiwi takluk 0-2 dari Pakistan di Stadion Indomilk Arena, Rabu (2/7/2025) malam WIB.

Kekalahan ini menjadi pukulan telak bagi tim asuhan Satoru Mochizuki, mengingat target utama mereka adalah meraih tiga poin demi menjaga asa lolos ke Piala Asia 2026. Pelatih asal Jepang itu mengakui timnya sudah berjuang keras untuk meraih hasil maksimal.

Namun, tambahnya, pada akhirnya, Shafira Ika dan kawan-kawan harus mengakui keunggulan Pakistan. “Sejujurnya kami sangat menyesal,” ujar Satoru Mochizuki.

“Sebenarnya ingin menang sebagai tim, tapi hari ini kita kalah,” tambahnya.

Meskipun kekalahan ini membuat peluang Timnas Putri Indonesia untuk melaju ke Piala Asia menjadi sangat tipis, Satoru Mochizuki menegaskan bahwa timnya tak akan menyerah begitu saja.
