Harapan Indonesia untuk mengirimkan lebih dari satu wakil di semifinal Malaysia Masters 2025 pupus sudah. Setelah Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum berhasil mengamankan satu tempat di empat besar, dua ganda putri Indonesia lainnya, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi (Ana/Tiwi) dan Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti (Lanny/Fadia), harus mengakui keunggulan lawan di babak perempat final.

Ana/Tiwi harus berhadapan dengan tuan rumah yang juga unggulan keenam, Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan. Bertanding di Axiata Arena, Jumat (23/5/2025), Ana/Tiwi harus menyerah dalam dua game langsung dengan skor identik 14-21, 14-21.

Sementara itu, perjuangan sengit juga dialami oleh Lanny/Fadia di lapangan dua. Mereka ditantang oleh unggulan ketujuh asal China, Jia Yi Fan/Zhang Shu Xian.

Sempat memberikan perlawanan ketat, Lanny/Fadia harus mengakui keunggulan lawannya dalam pertarungan tiga game. Setelah kalah di game pertama dengan skor 15-21, Lanny/Fadia mampu bangkit dan merebut game kedua dengan skor 21-15.
