JAKARTA – Kementerian Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (P2MI) bersama Department of Health New Brunswick, Kanada sepakat menjalin kerja sama pengiriman tenaga kesehatan . Kerja sama itu ditandai dengan penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) secara virtual oleh Dirjen Promosi dan Pemanfaatan Peluang Kerja Luar Negeri Dwi Setiawan di Ruang VIP Bandara Minangkabau, Padang, Sumatera Barat (Sumbar) pada Selasa (3/6/2025).

“Ketika saya berada di Padang, telah terjadi momentum bersejarah, yaitu penandatanganan MoU penempatan tenaga kerja kesehatan dengan Provinsi New Brunswick yang berada di Kanada. Tentu ini satu hal yang patut kami apresiasi atas kerja tim kami selama 3 tahun proses ini berjalan,” kata Menteri P2MI Abdul Kadir Karding .

Karding mengungkapkan Pemerintah New Brunswick, Kanada meminta tenaga kesehatan Indonesia sebanyak 150 orang. Mereka nantinya akan ditempatkan di rumah sakit.
