JAKARTA – Gelombang dedolarisasi sedang melanda dunia. Lebih dari 70 negara kini secara aktif mengurangi penggunaan dolar Amerika Serikat (AS) dalam perdagangan internasional. Fenomena tersebut menandai perubahan besar dalam lanskap keuangan global, sekaligus menjadi tantangan serius terhadap dominasi moneter AS sejak Perang Dunia II.

Tren ini terlihat jelas di kawasan ASEAN, di mana sejumlah negara mulai menerapkan penyelesaian transaksi dengan mata uang lokal. Selain itu, mereka juga mengembangkan sistem pembayaran alternatif untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada dolar AS.

Di Eropa, sentimen serupa muncul ketika para pejabat bank sentral mempertanyakan ketergantungan mereka pada Federal Reserve (The Fed). Sementara itu, blok BRICS semakin agresif mendorong penggunaan mata uang non-AS dalam perdagangan bilateral.

Negara-negara ekonomi terbesar Asia termasuk Indonesia sepakat mengadopsi mekanisme pembiayaan cepat berbasis mata uang regional, terutama yuan China, menggantikan dolar AS. Keputusan ini diambil dalam pertemuan menteri keuangan ASEAN+3 di Milan, Italia.
