BEIJING – China sedang bersiap untuk meluncurkan apa yang disebutnya sebagai pesawat induk drone pertama di dunia.

Ia dirancang untuk mampu melepaskan gerombolan 100 drone kamikaze berpemandu artificial intelligence (AI) selama misi udara.

Seperti kapal induk yang membawa banyak jet tempur di atasnya selama misi di laut, pesawat induk bernama UAV Jiu Tian atau UAV High Sky ini juga mengangkut banyak drone tempur dan amunisi di ketinggian tinggi.

UAV Jiu Tian dijadwalkan untuk menyelesaikan misi uji pertamanya pada akhir Juni nanti, menurut stasiun televisi pemerintah China; CCTV, Selasa (20/5/2025).
